Privacy policy
How ECHO Global Ventures collects, uses and protects your personal data.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we use it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to echoventures.eu and any enquiry you send us through it.
Who we are
ECHO Global Ventures ("ECHO", "we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@echoventures.eu. Our full registered details are on our Legal notice.
What we collect
When you contact us through the enquiry form, we process the details you provide:
- your name and (optionally) your company;
- your work email address;
- the area of interest you select and the message you write.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (for example, IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running reliably. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your enquiry details solely to read, route and respond to your message and to follow up about a possible engagement or partnership. The lawful bases are your consent (which you give when you submit the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to prospective clients and partners. Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and integrity of the site.
Cookies
This site sets only strictly necessary cookies by default. We do not set analytics or marketing cookies unless you opt in via the cookie notice, and you can decline non-essential cookies without losing any functionality.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the site and respond to you — our hosting provider and our email provider — who act as our processors under contract and may only use the data on our instructions.
International transfers
ECHO works across international markets. Where personal data is transferred outside your country or the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — so that your data remains protected.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting relationship, and then delete it. Where no relationship follows, we delete enquiry data within 24 months. Server logs are kept for a short period and then rotated.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and equivalent laws you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@echoventures.eu. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and respond promptly to any issue.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date below, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
